Chartwells Catering thanks you for your interest in our catering services. Successful events start and end with proper planning. Please use this catering menu as an idea generator for your next gathering and consult our party planners for customized solutions for your unique situations.

Food and Beverage Arrangements:

Please contact the Chartwells Catering office at (914)-251-6960 as early as possible to book your event and ensure availability of product. Events that are scheduled with less than 48 hours notice may be subject to limited menu and service selection. Signed contracts with on-campus clients are required with College purchase orders one week prior to the event.

Guarantees:

Upon booking your event, you will be asked to estimate the number of people that are expected to attend. A guaranteed count is required three working days prior to all standard events and four working days prior to all served meals and hot buffets. Your final bill will be based upon the guaranteed count or the number served whichever is greater.

Cancellations:

If a standard event is cancelled with at least 72 hours notice there will be no cancellation charges. If an event is cancelled within 72 hours, you will be charged for any non-recoverable items (labor, special ordered items, linens, food already prepped). In the event of forecasted inclement weather, the catering office will call all scheduled events and confirm arrangements. Any group that does not cancel at that time will be billed for their event.

Payment:

College funded events will require a purchase order upon signing of contract. If your organization is tax-exempt, a current tax exempt certificate must also be included n order to claim exempt status. Non-college funded events are paid in full 48 hours prior to events, no exceptions.

Equipment:

Please do not remove any catering equipment from contracted location. Any missing equipment will be billed to the person signing the contract.

Service:

All packages include basic linen for food tables as well as sustainable plates, green ware, and cups. Linen on non-food tables can be provided for an additional cost. Basic china service is available for $2.50 per person. Upscale china and linen is also available, please inquire with our Catering Director about these options.

Additional Service

Menu Planning and Delivery TimesAll orders must meet a minimum of an equivalent of 20 people per menu item unless otherwise noted. Normal service hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Any deliveries or events after 5:00 p.m. will incur an additional charge of $180.00 for a minimum of 3 hours of service time, based upon nature and time of event (*this charge will not pertain to plated or served events that require wait staff). Weekend labor charges are $180.00 per employee for a half day (standard delivery events with guest counts under 100 generally require one employee; up to five hours includes setup and cleanup) and $300.00 for full day (over five hours, includes setup and cleanup). Note: If you are hosting multiple events on a weekend day, then only one labor charge will apply depending on the size of the event.

Service Fee

Unless requested, complete catering orders are typically delivered, set up and removed by a Chartwells staff person. All orders that require a hot buffet attendant will be charged $180.00 for up to three hours of service time. Required or requested wait staff charges are $180.00 per server, for up to three hours of service time. Bar staff is $180.00 per person for up to three hours of service time. Chef attended meals will be charged $200.00 if minimum guest counts are not met.

Sustainable Disposables

All events are accompanied with the appropriate sustainable green ware. Flowers, Linen, Rentals and ChinaFood stations are properly covered with linen tablecloths at no additional charge. Additional linen for non-food tables are available at a charge of $13 per cloth. Linens are available for an additional charge and requests must be made in advance. We will be glad to order special floral arrangements or decorative requests for an additional fee.
